Terms of Use

By accessing or using kalbuosi (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

kalbuosi is an online preparation course for the Lithuanian A1 language exam. It provides structured lessons and practice across reading, writing, and listening, together with weekly live speaking sessions. Features and content may evolve over time.

The Service is a preparation tool only. We do not conduct official exams, issue certificates, or guarantee that you will pass any exam.

You must create an account using a valid email address or a supported sign-in method (such as Google). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, for all activity under your account, and for ensuring the information you provide is accurate.

We may suspend or restrict accounts if we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, or a violation of these Terms.

Creating an account is free and does not require payment information. Some content may be available to preview before purchase. Full access to the course requires a paid purchase (see below). Any free content or preview may change or be discontinued at any time.

Access to the full course is sold as a one-time purchase that grants time-limited access (for example, a 90-day access period). We do not offer recurring subscriptions. The exact offering, access duration, and price are shown during checkout.

If you complete the programme within your access period and do not pass the exam, we may extend your access at no additional cost, as described on the Service at the time of purchase. Any such guarantee applies on the terms stated at purchase.

We may update pricing, packaging, and available features from time to time. Changes apply prospectively (not retroactively) and do not affect access you have already purchased, unless required by law.

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize us and our payment provider to charge the applicable fees and taxes for your purchase. Because access is a one-time purchase, there are no recurring charges.

The Service consists of digital content that is made available to you immediately after purchase. Under EU consumer law you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases; however, where you request immediate access and acknowledge that you lose this right once access begins, the right of withdrawal no longer applies once you have started using the course.

If you believe you were charged in error or have a billing issue, contact us at labas@kalbuosi.lt. We review requests fairly and in line with applicable consumer-protection rules.

A) Service / transactional communications (essential): We may send emails or in-app notifications that are necessary to operate the Service, such as account verification and security codes, purchase receipts and billing notices, booking and access notifications, and important changes to the Service or these Terms. These are not marketing and may be sent regardless of marketing preferences.

B) Marketing communications (optional): We do not currently send marketing communications. If we introduce them in the future, they will be sent only where you have opted in (where required) or a limited "existing customer" exception applies, and every message will include an unsubscribe option. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential service communications.

You agree not to:

• share, sell, rent, or transfer your account or access to others (unless we explicitly allow it);
• bypass or attempt to bypass payment systems or access controls;
• use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract content from the Service;
• reverse engineer or attempt to disrupt the Service; or
• use the Service for any illegal purpose.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we detect misuse.

kalbuosi is an independent exam-preparation platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the National Agency for Education (NŠA), the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, or official Lithuanian government exam centers.

We may reference information compiled from publicly available sources and aim to keep content accurate. However, exam rules, procedures, dates, fees, and requirements may change. You are responsible for verifying critical information (e.g., registration deadlines, fees, requirements, locations) directly with official sources before making decisions.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that the content will meet every user's needs, or that using the Service will guarantee passing any exam.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, kalbuosi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service, its users, or our legal obligations. If your paid access expires or is terminated, you may lose access to paid features and content.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and may notify you of significant changes via email and/or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply to you under EU or local law. Disputes shall be handled by the competent courts in Lithuania, unless mandatory rules provide otherwise.
